WCMCA is member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

On October 19, 1984, the National Center’s Call Center opened for business. Twenty-six years later, more than 2,600,000 calls for service have been handled. The Call Center was created by the U.S. Congress to serve as the nation’s national reporting system for missing children. Considered “the nerve center” of the National Center, the toll-free Call Center receives calls for service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Call Center processes reports of missing children, reports of sightings of a missing child, or requests for resources to assist in abduction or sexual exploitation cases and can handle calls in more than 180 languages.

If you think you have seen a missing child or need assistance, contact the National Center at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).
